Aerial Photography Collections by Toby Harriman
Captured from above the heart of Silicon Valley, this series by Toby Harriman showcases Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) from a fine art aerial perspective. Photographed via helicopter in coordination with Bay Area air traffic control, the collection reveals the structure, flow, and precision that define one of California’s key regional hubs.
From aircraft taxiing beneath the sharp afternoon light to the geometry of runways and terminals framed against the city grid, each image highlights the connection between technology, infrastructure, and motion. San Jose’s skyline and surrounding neighborhoods provide context to the airport’s role within one of the world’s most innovative regions.
Part of Harriman’s ongoing Aerial Gateways series, the San Jose International Airport collection continues his study of major aviation centers across the United States, blending art and engineering to reveal the beauty and rhythm of modern flight.
